The 2nd Vice Chairperson of the Techiman South Constituency of the New Patriotic Party, Mr. Rexford Kodom, has appealed to delegates of the party to retain him in office ahead of the constituency’s upcoming elections.
According to him, his commitment and active involvement in party activities over the years contributed significantly to his victory when he first contested for the position four years ago.
“Before I contested for the position of 2nd Vice Chairperson four years ago, I was fully active in all party activities, and that helped me sail through the process smoothly. Our delegates rewarded my hard work by voting for me.”
Mr. Kodom noted that with the support of party faithful and supporters, he worked tirelessly during the 2024 general elections to help the party gain more floating voters and also secure victories in several electoral areas assigned to him, including areas considered strongholds of the opposition National Democratic Congress.
“With the support of our supporters, I was able to deliver for the party by winning more floating voters and securing victory in various electoral areas assigned to me during the 2024 elections, including areas considered strongholds of the NDC.”
He further stated that his contribution to the party has gone beyond politics, stressing that he has supported many party members and residents within the constituency financially and in several other ways.
“As the 2nd Vice Chairperson, with the help of God and the support of party faithful, I believe I have delivered beyond politics. I have supported many party members and residents of Techiman financially and in many other ways.”
Mr. Kodom disclosed that one of his major priorities has been the welfare of party members across all the 32 electoral areas within the constituency.
According to him, he has already laid a solid foundation aimed at improving the welfare of party faithful and empowering electoral areas to independently address minor challenges confronting members.
He explained that his vision is to ensure every electoral area has its own welfare fund to support members without constantly relying on the Member of Parliament or constituency executives for assistance.
“As 2nd Vice Chairperson, I have laid a foundation to improve the welfare of party members across all 32 electoral areas in the Techiman South Constituency.
“I believe that if all the electoral areas have funds that they can manage themselves, they will be able to solve minor issues within their communities without always relying on the Member of Parliament or party executives for assistance.”
Mr. Kodom therefore appealed to delegates to consider his track record and achievements and give him another opportunity to continue serving the party as 2nd Vice Chairperson.
He assured party members that he would continue to contribute towards the welfare fund and other initiatives aimed at improving the lives of party faithful across the constituency.
“I want to use this occasion to appeal to our delegates to consider my work and give me the opportunity to serve the party again as the 2nd Vice Chairperson so that together we can help bring the party back to power in 2028.
“I will continue to contribute to the fund to help improve the lives of our party faithful across the constituency.”
