The Ghana Education Service (GES) has commenced investigations into an alleged assault on a final-year Agricultural Science student of Techiman Senior High School (SHS) by two teachers of the school.
The investigation follows the circulation of a disturbing video on social media showing the alleged assault on the student, identified as Seedorf Abeka Ampah.
In a press statement issued on Saturday, October 31, 2026, and signed by the Head of Public Relations of GES, Daniel Fenyi, the Service identified the teachers allegedly involved in the incident as Mr Jerry Jones Owusu Bekoe and Mr Adusa Ameyaw.
According to the statement, the school’s disciplinary committee has already conducted an initial hearing into the matter, with its findings expected to be submitted to Management through the Regional Directorate in the coming days.
The findings are expected to guide Management in determining the appropriate action to be taken against the teachers involved, depending on the outcome of the investigations.
GES further disclosed that the affected student has received medical attention and is responding positively to treatment.
“The affected student, identified as Seedorf Abeka Ampah, a final-year Agricultural Science student, has received medical attention and is responding positively to treatment,” the statement said.

The Service has assured the public that the matter is receiving attention, while urging members of the public to remain calm as investigations continue.
