The Chief Executive Officer of the Needed Voice Foundation, Madam Janet Saah, has urged women to take advantage of Breast Cancer Awareness Month to undergo screening for early detection and treatment of the disease.
She made the call during a live interview on Bonokyempem Radio’s Wonpotamutesen programme, hosted by Kwasi Appiah Kubi.
Madam Janet Saah announced that the foundation would organise a free health screening exercise for women in Amoma in the Kintampo South District to promote women’s health and encourage early detection of breast cancer.
She urged women in Amoma and surrounding communities to participate in the exercise and make regular medical check-ups a priority, stressing the importance of early detection in the management of breast cancer.
The initiative forms part of efforts to promote awareness of women’s health and encourage access to screening services, particularly among women who may face barriers to seeking medical attention.
On a separate issue, Madam Janet Saah commented on a reported case involving a headmaster at Oboase, calling for the law to take its course.
She stressed the importance of accountability and justice in addressing the matter, urging that the appropriate legal processes be allowed to proceed.
Madam Saah also advised young women to dress decently and conduct themselves responsibly in society.
She reiterated the need for women to prioritise their health while emphasising the importance of justice and responsible conduct among young people.
